Guy: huh, we will talk about that some other time(looking at his watch) See theresa,Ican tell you are a very interesting person to be with from the little i’ve seen so far,Iwill call you within the week to arrange how we can meet again at a more convenient place to have drinks together if that will be fine by you.
Girl: Okay. but you don”t have my contact?
Guy: aha, lestIforget(bringing out phone from pocket and handing it to girl) write it here
(girl collects phone and start dialling her number)
Guy: U seem single to me, that makes us have lots in common.
(girl finishes dialling her number and hands phone over to guy)
Guy: You’ve got nice nails. let me see(holds girl’s wrist and start observing her fingers)
Girl: Thank you(smiling)
Guy: Just like mine (shows girl his fingers)
Girl: did you fix those? how did your nails grow to that extent?

Guy: nah.Ijust let them grow on their own since they have nothing else to do
Girl: wow
Guy: (looking at his watch again) oh TheresaIwish we could keep talking on but i’m late for work now. Don’t worry though, we will find sometime to meet again before the week runs out. Trust me.
Girl: Okay. bye.
Guy: Keep your phone close so as not to miss my call later today
Girl: Okay I’ll remember that.
(Girl smiles and Guy leaves)
That was a playback of what happened with the girlImet on the walkway asIwas leaving for work yesterday morning and it’s a good example of how approaching women and getting numbers can be done with ease. A bit of fun chat and some getting to know her is all it takes to open her up when approaching women for the first time. This post is a follow up to yesterday’s post whereItalked about Why You Should Never Be Scared Of Approaching Women.
Before proceeding,Iwill have to say this first.
i’m not a Pick-Up Artist andIsee women as people you allow into your life only when you’ve got time for them.
For example, while returning home yesterday,Ifelt the urge to chew gums and there’s a particular brandIlike most but couldn’t find it from any of the storesIcame by. Some of the retailers tried convincing me to buy the ones they had in stock butIwouldn’t. SoIjust kept moving. I’m not hungry,Ijust needed to chew gums, that’s all. That’s howIalso view women these days.
Approaching girls can be nerve-racking at times though, depending on your mood and that of the girl but most girls will always smile when you approach them if you do it with the right mood and frame of mind.
I took time to recollect what transpired in the past at the time when getting a girl’s to give me her phone number seemed like a milestone for me. At the time, a lot of girls would simply turn me down whenIasked for their phone number andIrealized it all boiled down to my views about a girl giving you her number. I made it such a big deal then and from whatIcan see now, it was very obvious that those girls easily read my body language then and thought it was in their best interest to not give me their number contrary to my opinion at the time which was “a girl will only give you her number if she likes you”. No! She will give you her number whether she likes you or not as long as she sees no harm in doing so.
Harm in this case include any or all of these things:

Beta Guy
Creepy Guy
She Is Testing You
Personal Issues
You’re Just Not Her Type

Let dive into each of the points highlighted above. Beta Guy:
Beta Guy is a guy that seems to make a mountain out of a moth hill, period. They lack the confidence and skills needed to handle simple talks with subtlety and smoothness and they end up filling the whole conversation with fluids of awkwardness. Take this for instance:
[Guy sees girl sitting alone in a park bench as if patiently waiting for someone so Guy decides to walk up to her and "test his luck"]
Guy: Hello(with a widely spread smile on his face)
Girl: Hi(smiling a ‘doIknow you’ smile)
Guy: CanIhave a sit with you?
Girl: You are free
Guy: (sits down and pauses awkwardly for some time)Are you waiting for someone?
Girl: Yes
Guy: (Pauses awkwardly again) That buiding over there is really a nice one, the developers took time to plan for it.
Girl: (silent)
Guy: So why are you here?
Girl: You’ve just asked me that question(infuriated)
Guy: Okay. Okay. I’m sorry ifIoffended you(another awkward pause and the place is becoming uncomfortable for the girl so she gets up to leave and Guy also stands up and tries to delay her) hey, are you leaving?Ithought you said you were waitng for someone?
Girl: You thought right
Guy: Okay. Well at least tell me your name mine is Solomon
Girl: Tracy
Guy: Okay Tracy can you please give me your nummber so we can talk some other time?(bringing out his phone from pocket)
Girl: That wont be necessary(Moves past him and leaves)
[Guy feels rejected and thinks "oh she doesn't even like me well, maybe it's because i'm not rich or sexy enough"]
But the truth is you dont need to be rich or super sexy to be able to approach girls and have them give you their number thoughImust tell you that the sexy aspect really ups your chances. All you need here is your Game. Get this and get it straight. If you are lke the guy in the scene above, perform this exercise now, repeat these words 5 times.

Creepy Guy:
Being creepy kills your chances of getting a girl’s phone number 8 out of 10 times it happens, be it you stalking her, standing right in front of her or touching her awkwardly. Let me give you an illustration on this one:
[Girl coming out of library, Guy walks up to her and she could sense that Guy must have been waiting for her all those while she spent in the library]
Guy: Hey pretty angel,Imust confess that you have the sweetest voice i’ve ever heard and the best eyesIhave ever looked into. My name is Richard(Standing right in front of her, smiling like a baby with teeth wide open and holding out hands for her to shake)
Girl: (seem surprised but flashes him a smile anyway so as to give him a little ego boost and make him comfortable so as to know what he is actually up to) I’m Sarah

Guy: (Still standing right in front of her like bouncers do when they refuses you access to a party)Do you attend church services?
Girl: what?
Guy: Nevermind(looking confused)
Girl: Well as you can see,Iwas on my way out…could you just step aside?
Guy: (hastily steps aside) okay let me just walk you out(starts walking by her side) My best friend says Michael Jackson was a female butIthink he’s just too dumb to see facts. Why would anyone even think of such a thing…
Girl: (a bit confused at this weird guy walking beside her so she stares into his face intently so as to recognize him the next time she sees him because he’s surely made the headlines later in the day when she’s having her girl-gists with her girlfriends) what do you think?
Guy: (sees the question as a green light and places his hand on her shoulders but she pushes him away)Hmmm…I just dont believe him because it doesn’t make sense…(scratches head)
Girl: (stops walking) Well Richard,IthinkIcan take care of myself from here.
Guy: Okay, fine.
Girl: Thank you
Guy: You know Sarah, it would really make me happy if you gave me your number soIcan speak with you again.
Girl: No…
Guy: Why not?Girl:Idont think that would be necessary. Bye(leaves)

I dont know about you butIcant count how many timesIused to find myself in this very situation with girls in the past. It really sucked back then andIended up hating girls who turned me down becauseIsaw them as “too difficult to understand” when in reality,Iwas actually the one who was Difficult-To-Understandings by not being aware that my creepiness was scaring them off.
If you are the type of creepy guy who still do what solomon did in the scene above you will have to change some few things in your manner of approaching women. I will give you some hints.

Never stand right in front of her when talking to her for the first time.

I know you need to smile so as to get her comfortable around you but please dump all that Gung-Hoish-Tooth-Cleaning-Advert-Smile and rather go with the subtle smile that does not involve you flashing your teeth all over the cameras.

Ask for her number in the middle of the conversation and not after the conversation when she’s praying for a knight to come rescue her from this SuperDumbass who just dont understand a single thing about women.

And lastly, always be the one in haste to leave during the conversation unless you are planning to take her home. she will sense that you have more important things to do and decide in her mind that she may want to see you some other time when you are less busy. In this case, she will be more willing to give you her contact when you ask for it.

She Is Testing You:
Some girls have this habit of testing guys every now and then without them even knowing it and some guys just bends to every tests without even knowing that they are being tested by girls.
Sometimes the reason she is refusing to give you her number is to see how aggressive, confident and dominant you are and weak guys just caves in when they hear the BIG NO! But confident guys keep persuading her until she either cave in or reaches for a knife. Checkout this two scenes and tell me what you think:

Personal Issues:
She may be having personal issues that she wished you could read her mind and just backoff because she aint just in the mood to talk with strangers. That’s her personal issues, not one with you or your game. So Move On.
You Are Just Not Her Type:
Believe me or not, some girls are really choosy when it comes to dating and may have already come up with a list of what they expect from a guy right from the instance they meet him and once you fall short of their criteria, you are out and trying to get back in is like fighting an uphill battle. But trust me on this one, these class of girls are not really worth your time and efforts. These selectiveness are more common with women who have slept with close to thirty different men or even more, didIhear you say sluts? So they now decide to come up with this dumb list that they think will be of their best interest in catching and keeping the ‘unsuspecting Mr Right’. So when you get turned down by these type of women, know that you did what you had to do but she just wasn’t worth it.
Some Quick Tips/Reminders When Approaching Women 1. If you are confused on what to say when you approach her, simply walk up to her and ask her what you think she might be up to:

Are you waiting for a taxi?

Are you here to buy something?

Are you going to get lunch?

I’ve seen you here several times, do you work here?

Ask her as if you were a bouncer at a night club asking her if she was 18+, not like some guy trying to find his way around a big city would do. Then relate with whatever reply she gives you which is likely to be either a “yes” or “no”.
2. After striking up a conversation with her, always try to keep the conversation on her or at least the two of you, not some random talks about the weather, news, movies or some visible structures on sight.
3. Never allow silence to creep in when you are talking with a girl for the first time. Silence means the two of you are not connecting and awkwardness sets in afterwards. The type that will leave you thinking “what doIsay next”. And trying to break such awkwardness and is as difficult as approaching her in first place. Know what you want from her in first place before approaching her (tip: read Why You Should Never Be Scared Of Approaching Women) and Always be assuming things about her to get her talking more about herself. Assumptions like:
you seem to be good at teaching,
it seems as if you know a lot about this place,
it seems as if you’re catholic,
it seems as if you like singing…
Positive assumptions about her will get her talking more about herself.
4. Never, I repeat, Never followup a question with another question. It bores them a lot and makes them want to leave. Question is a good way for striking up a conversation but following up one immediately with another doesn’t go well with most women. Use assumptions instead.
By now you should have seen the reason why that girl you had a crush on in the past refused to give you her number or the girl you met at the supermarket who just seem to be excited when you walked up to her refused to give you her number when you asked her for it.
Brace up man. Time to make the changes that needs to be made.
